Back to Back Glory

The Macedon B Grade Reserves yesterday became the most successful team in the Clubs 114 year history by going back to back Premiers in yesterday's Grand Final drubbing of Sunbury Rovers.
The day commenced in celebration as the Netball B Grade won their Grand-final also against Sunbury Rovers in a tight finish.

Our third Grand Finalist for the day the A Grade Netballers were beating in extra time by Romsey.

Three teams with chance for Glory!!

Macedon Cats B Grade Football, A Grade Netball and B Grade Netball are all
within one game of earning the ultimate prize as they play off in this weeks
Grand Final.
Grand Final games are at Lancefield this Sunday the 25th, all  supporters
are urged to attend to spur on our players.

Yesterday at Romsey the Football Senior reserves stormed into the Grand
Final for their second successive year with a dominant display against the
undisciplined and at times spiteful Riddell reserves.
Despite a nasty incident where forward Barry Mathews copped a high shot in
the last quarter which left him with a very badly swollen right eye, the
Cats stayed focused on football and took Riddell apart in the second half.
Clint Burgess playing a key role in defence was outstanding, repelling
Riddell with sticky hands and bursts of speed out of defence to set up many
forward onslaughts.  This week the Reserves play Sunbury Rovers at Lansfield
at 12 noon Sunday in an attempt to go back to back Premiers.

Our A & B Grade Netball teams go into the respective Grand Finals as
favourites booking their place last week in the second semi's.  Games start
at 11.30am at Lansfield.
